Wisdom And Information

What is the difference?

As it has been written about by others, information can consist of facts, such as what ten plus ten is, or ideas, such as ways of influencing people, while wisdom involves how information is directed toward what is good.

What is the difference between information and wisdom in Christianity? As it has been written about by others, information can consist of facts, such as what ten plus ten is, or ideas, such as ways of influencing people, while wisdom involves how information is directed toward what is good. This can often take the form of helping people.

Encouraging people to be understanding of one another is an action that comes from wisdom. Using math to build better bridges and buildings for the benefit of the public also comes from wisdom. Using social skills to cooperate with someone who was almost an enemy is another example.

Christian wisdom centers around selfless love, treating people right, and a love for Jesus and humanity. It also resembles or dovetails with other forms of wisdom from the East to the West that involve understanding people and treating them in a familial way. Christians shouldn't shy away from sharing Christian wisdom with the public in a respectful way because past Christians who did so helped to establish many social structures that have helped make life better, fairer, and more peaceful for Christians and non-Christians alike.
