New College Courses

Let's advocate for new college courses that help educate the public about what we face.

These courses would help educate people on problems that Christians face in democracies today as a result of the prejudices of individuals and organizations and not governments.
Christians,
We want to advocate for new college courses that explore modern Christian persecution within democracies where the source of that persecution is social hostility. In other words, the courses wouldn’t focus on Christians being oppressed by laws but by social hostility in nations where Christians and their freedoms are otherwise protected by the laws. These courses would help educate people on problems that Christians face in democracies today as a result of the prejudices of individuals and organizations and not governments.
The focus on Christian persecution in democracies today would be helpful to many people who don’t really understand the extent of the stigmatization and other types of unfair treatment Christians face in modern democratic nations. These courses would be similar to other college courses that explore stigmas, social isolation, and other types of unfair treatment that other people have faced and continue to face for other reasons. To start designing these courses, preexisting case studies and other research would need to be consulted in addition to performing new research, including interviews with Christians who have experienced social isolation and other types of unfair treatment.
These courses would be helpful to non-Christians who want to learn more about the struggles of Christians today. These classes would also be helpful to Christians, allowing them to identify with, commiserate with, and learn more about each other’s struggles. These classes could help improve relations between Christians and other members of the public and bring healing for everyone as well.
