Let’s promote the development and use of Christian criticism in both public and private high schools and colleges for analysis and evaluation of how Christians are unfairly portrayed and treated in both art and real-world scenarios.

An example of applying Christian criticism in an English class would be analyzing and evaluating different movie clips for stereotypes where Christians are portrayed as religious hypocrites.

Christians,

In classes such as English, you may remember using or are currently using literary and cultural criticisms to analyze and evaluate art and culture.  These criticisms often analyze and evaluate how different people are portrayed and treated in literature, other forms of art, and real-world scenarios because of factors such as race and gender.  Often times, the aim of using a literary and cultural criticism is to point out how people are unfairly portrayed and treated.  It is important to study how and why people are unfairly portrayed in both art and real-world scenarios to make people aware of that unfair treatment and to address it.  Considering the pervasive stigmatization and other unfair portrayals and treatment of Christians in both art and real-world scenarios, the development and use of Christian criticism should be promoted in both private and public high schools and colleges.

An example of applying Christian criticism in an English class would be analyzing and evaluating different movie clips for stereotypes where Christians are portrayed as religious hypocrites.  Another example would be analyzing and evaluating novels for bias that portray Christians as the cause of greed and violence in different novels.  This criticism would also apply to current events, such as how Christians are treated in the news.

Using Christian criticism this way in public schools would especially help the general public see and understand the unfairness with which Christians are often portrayed in art and real-world situations.  Schools that promote Christian criticism in class would also show equity to Christian students who otherwise would need to study texts, etc. that stigmatize them without any class-provided lens for evaluating the unfairness of those materials and how they might impact Christian students.  Christian criticism would also help empower Christian and non-Christian students to address unfair portrayals and treatment of Christians.
