Be careful not to be lured into certain types of conflict, Christians.
If threatened, it is best to walk away from the situation while telling the other person you don’t mean any harm.
Christians, don’t up the ante in an argument about Christianity when it comes to threats of physical harm. If someone says, “we’re going to get you,” you might be inclined to say, “not if we get you first.”You’re not thinking about harming anyone, however. You might really say that to stand up for your faith with conviction. Someone who doesn’t like Christian morality, however, might really be thinking about hurting you though.
Later on, they could actually try to hurt you. Then, they might justify their decision by reiterating what you said to them before, even though you didn’t really intended to harm them. It would feel very unfair and upsetting if someone did hurt you as a result.
If threatened, it is best to walk away from the situation while telling the other person you don’t mean any harm. You can stand up for Christianity in the public without trading threats. You don’t want to put yourself in harm’s way unnecessarily, and you don’t want to be lured into threatening anyone when you don’t really want to hurt anyone.
