The Wrong Group For You

You aren't in the right Bible study if the leader and members support ideas found in society that go against genuine Christian thinking.

If they already support ideas that are at odds with genuine Christian thinking, then they will also be at odds with you.
Christians,
If you find yourself in a Bible study or related type of Christian group and you find they support the anti-police, anti-American, and antisemitic ideas found in society, then you are in the wrong group. This is not a place where you are safe to share your thoughts about life and society as a Christian.
If they already support ideas that are at odds with genuine Christian thinking, then they will also be at odds with you. This will lead to arguments or them persuading you to think as they do. If your goal is to actively try to change their thinking, that is certainly not wrong, but don’t put your beliefs and your emotional well-being in their hands.
What does it also say if the members of a Bible study talk condescendingly or hostilely about the police, for example? Well, what does it say about how they would really feel about Jesus had they understood his life and ministry in the proper light? Jesus received so much criticism as he tried to do what was good by people and isn’t this how it is with the police today? In other words, this shows that a Christian group who supports anti-police ideas not only doesn’t really understand who Jesus was and what he did, but they might not even like him if they did.
