There is a misleading way of criticizing behavior referred to as "woke," and it almost makes the behavior look good in a way.

In a sense, it is a misleading compliment.

Christians,

There is a problem with the way ideas and behavior are criticized that are described as “woke.”  “Woke” behavior is often described as overly sensitive behavior.  The impression one can get from hearing criticisms of “woke” behavior is that they are people who just care a lot.

In fact, the criticisms directed against “woke” behavior almost sound like criticisms against a heartfelt Christian.  However, a way of thinking that is often anti-American, anti-police, and set against Judeo-Christian values obviously doesn’t make someone a Christian.

Neither a Christian nor a genuinely caring person in general would hate a country that has sacrificed so much for freedom at home and abroad.  They obviously wouldn’t despise police officers who put their lives on the line to protect people.  Racist actions, such as being involved in anti-Jewish protests, isn’t a sign of caring too much about humanity either.  A really caring person wouldn’t think or do any of those things, and the way “woke” thinking is criticized and joked about leaves people thinking that they are just being made fun of for caring too much about people.  In a sense, it is a misleading compliment.
