A Temptation In The Car

Resist the temptation to beep your horn if another driver is taking more time than what seems necessary to pull out onto a busy street.

Otherwise, if they feel rushed by someone behind them, they could try to pull out before they feel ready and get into a serious crash.

If you are driving and you notice another driver is taking a little longer than what seems normal to pull onto a busy street, resist the temptation to beep your horn.  They could be new to driving or new to the area.  Even for an experienced driver, it can be difficult to pull onto a street where cars are coming fast in both directions.

Otherwise, if they feel rushed by someone behind them, they could try to pull out before they feel ready and get into a serious crash.  A serious crash could mean years of suffering with injuries.   Of course, car crashes can also be fatal.

Waiting just five more seconds than you feel is normal to wait could be enough time for them to feel they can safely pull out.  If you notice someone in the car behind you starts to beep at them, don’t join in.  That could help save the life of the person trying to pull out, along with anyone else they may be with.
