Care

One of the best ways to avoid misapplications of Christian beliefs and thinking is to genuinely care about how people are affected by those thoughts and beliefs.

Real care drives a person to genuinely find out how to treat others and themselves, and that involves finding out how to best apply their understanding of Christian ideas and principles.

When people hang onto a rule because they feel forced to, and they do it without caring about its purpose and what context it is being applied in, bad decisions can be made. This is a problem that has plagued many belief systems. As Christianity becomes prominent again, Christian teachers will need to look out for this problem to help Christianity grow healthily. Christian teachers also need to help Christians understand now that they have to think about the principles they live by and care about how they are applied.

In today’s culture, the word "care" can be associated with a superficial feeling of affection, but real care is a powerful agent. One of the best ways to avoid misapplications of Christian beliefs and thinking is to genuinely care about how people are affected by those thoughts and beliefs. For example, if a parishioner sees that a new Church member often talks about what is right and wrong, they shouldn’t rush to conclude that that person is acting like a Pharisee. Instead, and out of care for that person, they should try to find out if that new Church member thinks that way not because they are judgmental but because of a deep love for the ideas of right and wrong found in their new faith. Out of care for people and what their faith is really about, a Christian wants to try to determine what is actually happening and needs to be done in a given context instead of carelessly making decisions based on rules and ideas they don't really understand or think about.

Real care drives a person to genuinely find out how to treat others and themselves, and that involves finding out how to best apply their understanding of Christian ideas and principles. Christians want to care about what they believe so that they can live a life that genuinely helps others and allows them to see others for who they really are. They don’t want to follow Christian teachings only because they feel they have to because that often results in a lack of care and a subsequent misapplication of their beliefs. Christian teachers want to help instill in Christians a genuine care for Christian teachings by helping them understand why they are good for people and how they can show their love for Jesus by following them.

Caring about our religion will provide a sense of belongingness and will offer us to reconnect with our long-lost selves. Inner strength and courage to always do the right things is also driven by caring for other people. Without this, there will be no teachings of goodwill in this world. So, thank you for caring Paul!

When you care about someone, you are not only concerned about how they feel and how they are doing. Caring about someone is about giving them a genuine reason to believe and why they are in existence. This means that you are to be concerned about the spiritual, physical, mental wellbeing of the person.
