Take Those Words To The Transfer Station

We shouldn't use words like "liberal-minded" to describe thinking that oppresses Christians.

Let’s recycle words like "liberal-minded" and use them the right way.
Christians,
We are going to need to recycle some of the words we use. We’ve been misled into using some words in ways that don't make sense. For example, we call the persecution of Christians the result of “liberalism.”
However, silencing Christians isn’t liberal-minded. A lot of what we call “liberal” isn’t liberal in the sense of being open-minded, forward-thinking, and supportive of diversity. Without realizing it, we’ve been tricked into praising our persecution.
How did this come to be in the first place? Systems have been set up where words like "liberalism" have been used to describe political and social thought that is quite the opposite of what those words are supposed to mean in their general, core senses. However, we don't have to call that political and social thought words like "liberalism." Although you would have a hard time convincing people who call their ideas "liberal" to label them as anything to the contrary, we don't have to use words like "liberal" in a distored way ourselves. Let's use those words the right way, meaning in a way that doesn't distort the core meaning of those words. For example, the Golden Rule of Jesus is liberal-minded in the right sense of the word "liberal-minded." Let’s recycle words like "liberal-minded" and use them the right way.
