Pleasing Those Who Are Testy With Us

When someone is testy with us, we can try harder to please them.

In fact, we can try harder to please them than someone who is understanding with us.

When someone is testy with us because of a lack of respect or like reason, sometimes we can try harder to please them.  In fact, we can try harder to please them than someone who is understanding with us.  However, we don’t want to show less respect to those who are understanding than those who are easily annoyed by us.

That doesn’t mean we are disrespectful to those who are testy with us.  As Christians, we believe in trying to treat others the right way even when they don’t treat us the right way.  At the same time, we shouldn't be careless about how we treat those who are good to us because they aren't testy with us. 

If someone asks us a favor who is understanding with us, don’t do a careless job for them.  Don’t do a careless job for them because they aren’t as likely to become angry with a negligible mistake.  That isn’t the way to treat someone who shows us kindness.
