People who try to live a Christian life in public will face resistance. This resistance will be made worse by other struggles that can shake a Christian’s belief in God and way of life. They will wonder if they chose the right beliefs and way to live.

It can be substantiated by basic human logic, sociology, psychology, and philosophy. For those who believe in the soul, the soul knows its truth as well.
When Christians are ridiculed for believing in God, they have to ask themselves if they have done wrong by loving and believing in Jesus, who taught people to treat each other the way they would want to be treated. It also must be remembered that it cannot be proven that God does not exist, and many respected thinkers have used plain reason to explain why it would be logical for God to exist. Christians should not give up on their faith and way of life when they are criticized or face painful circumstances. The life Christians live is for the unmistakable good of others and themselves, and their belief in God is both rational and for the sake of love.
It is true that people start questioning their beliefs when they find no other hope or when they see so many things happening around them that are not what one should expect from a Christian. They, this question keeps on coming in our minds whether Jesus is really watching us. And as you said, if we ourselves start acting just according to our religion, we would find God in everything :)
As a Christian, the Bible had already admonished us already to be ready for persecution. When you're critized, it only means you're not part of them and I see that as a good thing. At least you're not conforming to the world.
Anytime I question others or myself for believing in Jesus, I visit the church. Father makes me understand what a blessing it is to be a Christian. I love being a Christian and I love my life.
