Musical Instruments

What are some rewarding and healthy ways for young Christians to spend their free time?

Learning a musical instrument is one example of a constructive and rewarding way for a Christian or a non-Christian to spend their free time.

As more young people become Christian again, some will ask about how they can spend their free time as Christians in healthy and rewarding ways. Learning a musical instrument is one example of a constructive way for a Christian or a non-Christian to spend their free time. Finding a piano teacher or joining a school band can also lead to wonderful opportunities.

Learning to play the piano or an instrument such as the clarinet can lead to concerts where young people can share their skills with their community, for example. Learning to play music on one’s own gives a young person a sense of reward in itself as well. It is a good way to spend one’s time independently or in a group.

Learning to play a musical instrument is only one of many rewarding and productive ways for young Christians to spend their free time. However, it is a great one that can be carried into adulthood. Playing a musical instrument can be a lifelong endeavor.
