People will ask why they should become Christian as more evangelization is seen in the public square once again. One benefit of being a Christian is the contentment that comes from just knowing. It is liberating to understand that you should see the inherent and equal value of the lives of others and not be trapped in the ignorance of seeing others as less than yourself.
Just knowing about forgiveness and what it does for people saves you from so many vengeful and distressing thoughts. It also feels good to see a purpose in life that involves the well-being of others, including people you don’t even know. Just knowing that life isn’t about self-centered desires and protecting your interests is a reward in itself.
Just knowing about Jesus and his love is a reward in itself. The knowledge of what is good and true is liberating and contentful. It is one of the great benefits of being a Christian.
