It Makes Life Better

Helping someone find a place can be a big help.

Little gestures like this don’t necessarily require money, and they don't require a lot of extra time, but they can make a person’s day a lot better.

For a Christian who wants to make life better for other people, many little gestures can help. If a friend tells you about a new restaurant in town they heard was good, offer to go there during your next weekend outing together even if it is not the kind of food you prefer. If you are working in a grocery store, and a customer seems like they really need an ingredient, go beyond a customary look and even try suggesting a possible alternative if you can’t find it. Little gestures like this don’t necessarily require money, and they don't require a lot of extra time, but they can make a person’s day a lot better.

A tendency people can have is to do the minimum of what is common or required. This can involve how one thinks about the interests of others. However, putting a little extra thought into how to help someone else can go a long way for them.

Spending a little extra time to find the ingredient a customer needed could have saved a dinner for a family get together. Thinking about what a friend might have wanted to do even when you weren't quite as interested could have added a lot to your friendship. These are the types of gestures that help a Christian or a non-Christian make life better for others.
