There are already many Christians who want to express their faith openly, but they are hesitant.
However, expressing one's faith openly is not the same as forcing it on others.
Helping other Christians feel free to express their faith in public again is a cause all Christians should feel called to in countries where Christianity once flourished. A Christian expression of faith can take the form of wearing a cross on a necklace at school or wishing another Christian Merry Christmas at work. Individual people and groups have tried to support this cause in recent times, often without the aim of organizing Christians on a massive scale and under the banner of a movement. A movement helps to change hearts and minds on a large scale. This is because a movement is a way of organizing and unifying people on a large scale around a cause.
There are already many Christians who want to express their faith openly, but they are hesitant. Some feel they are outnumbered by people who wouldn’t understand them while others have been made to feel that they would be overstepping social boundaries. However, expressing one's faith openly is not the same as forcing it on others. Christians also have a right in a free public to express their faith openly.
A movement of Christians in the public would organize people around an understanding of that right and give them both a feeling of support and a purpose that would be shared with millions of others. Let a discussion begin around it and let a name be given to it so that such a movement can be referenced, joined, and developed.
Of course, expression of your thoughts does not mean you are forcing it upon anyone, unless you actually mean to force it. If we, as Christians, are willing to talk, there is nothing to be hesitant of.
Yes, expression is okay as long as nobody is hurt. Everyone should understand and respect each other.
I think it is awful to think that there are environments in which people do not feel comfortable to express who they are and what they believe in. Of course, our thoughts and beliefs should never be forced upon another or in any way hurt another person, but an environment that encourages freedom of expression is certainly important to have. Something as subtle as a cross necklace may allow someone to openly express their faith as a Christian.
People should have the right to express their beliefs openly, but only if they are not hurting others. We should be careful in gaslighting.
