A Modern Mask of Undying Prejudice

Consider people who ridicule other people because of their race and are convinced they are in the right for what they believe—it sounds like people you would find from across the ages and it also sounds like people from today who ridicule Caucasians and identify as "woke."

It is simply a new mask.

Christians,

Among the masses—among people—there have always been large numbers who have been particularly prone to conformity, prejudices against others, and a somewhat unexamined belief that they are in the right.  Today, what way of thinking has strong sway among the masses, includes prejudices such as making fun of white people (for being inherently “boring,” “racist,” etc.), and is considered to be the right way to think despite what it says about racism (claiming people are racist because of their race) and other issues that show little examination of core principles?  Generally speaking, this way of thinking identifies people who often refer to themselves as “woke.”

In other words, the modern term “woke” refers to a way of thinking that is really from every age/time.  What is meant to be revealed here is that although this term is often used to evoke a sense of new and liberating thinking, it really conveys age-old tendencies toward prejudice and conformity.  It is simply a new mask. When it comes to genuinely open-minded thinking, no form of racism is right.

It is important to know this for several reasons.  For one, you want to see things for how they are so that you can respond to them appropriately.   In other words, if you have been made to think that your way of thinking is outmoded and prejudiced when your perspective is really open-minded, you might be tricked into thinking you should give up your way of thinking for the wrong one.
